Switzerland and the United Kingdom refused to extradite fugitives to Kazakhstan

Since 2001, Kazakhstan has sent 3 applications for an invitation to become a party to the European Convention on Extradition , which includes all 47 member states of the Council of Europe.

Kazakhstan currently no extradition treaty criminal persons signed with Spain , Lithuania, Germany, Italy, also agreed to conclude such a document with the Czech Republic , which is pending in the upper house of Parliament of Kazakhstan.

"Today an agreement was reached between the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic on the conclusion of a treaty on extradition of criminals. Currently, experts from the two countries have carried out appropriate consultations in order to develop a mutually acceptable wording of the treaty , and after it is signed , we hope that these persons would be extradited to the Republic of Kazakhstan ", - concluded A.Nurahmetov .
