Technical innovations alone do not solve the problems of education


I am not the enemy of progress and innovation, if they are for the cause, and not just another report on moving forward to the next bright future. But when discussing the problems encountered in the implementation in schools of Kazakhstan e-learning system, would like to draw the attention of at least three points.

First. Innovation, technical training, and now, first of all, electronic, of course necessary. For example, we at the University of Kostanay new features use extensively. However, I strongly believe that technical innovations alone do not solve the problems of education. In the first place, in my opinion, is still a bunch of: teacher - student. The rest - derivative. In this sense, the use of electronic or paper-based information is of tertiary importance.

The second point. It would not have been great experience of leading schools and educational institutions in general, it is not easy to automatically transfer all. The history of the last century has shown that there were leading collective farms, and great crops of corn, but also large-scale collectivization and kukuruzizatsiya chohom turned to the country, to say the least, significant losses. I well know the Physics and Mathematics High School, where he works director SL Bogdanchikov. Wonderful school. But these are not all the same. And God forbid, if school teachers under the order, or as if in a race to be run line method to produce electronic materials, and even claim to be open, where they just do not have basic training. After all, the problem the researcher and teacher (whose profession is no less noble) are different. Do not send a tanker to a minefield, so why should a teacher often have not quite your thing? Another question - it's possible benefits and appropriate use of all that can be produced centrally or in special centers, laboratories, in close collaboration of universities and schools.

Finally, the third point: the possibility of bias in favor of "control". Electronic journals while still more say, referring to the school. But, whether it's school or college, yet important - not the form of a score, and the content of education. If you are able to arouse any interest - it is something. Then the Internet will support, and to the electronic or paper-based allowance will be pulled and a student, and the student. In general, the computer, especially the personal is good only when it is used for creativity and for the enrichment of personality, as a teaching and training, but not a machine for the production of endless reports, including petty and data performance.

So the answer to the question of whether or not the increase in the electronic system of training school performance, depends on what we mean by this most achievers, what strategic goal set before him, and how sensibly use the fruits of progress.
